Our Story
Gerard Coutts, Managing Director, established Gerard Coutts & Associates in 2005.
The drive to open and operate his own company was undeniably in Gerard’s blood. Gerard’s own father successfully owned and operated P & A Coutts, a major building and construction company in central and western districts of Victoria from 1951 until 1982. The company was responsible for the construction of major civic projects, churches, banks, and retirement homes.
After growing up in Horsham and inspired by working alongside his father, Gerard completed both a Bachelor of Architecture at Deakin University and a Master of Project Management at RMIT University. He went on to gain years of invaluable experience employed by some of the largest national and international organisations in both the architectural and development sectors.
Today, Gerard continues to lead Gerard Coutts & Associates and uphold the family building tradition by maintaining a membership of the Master Builders Association Victoria together with the consultancy’s own membership of the Australian Institute of Architecture and Australian Institute of Project Management.
